R&B music is originally from the genre of African American music in the 1940s. Different from any other genres of music, such as pop, rock, hip hop, techno, and others, R&B consists of electric blues, gospel, and soul music. Its subculture includes having its own music style. Even though R&B consists of electric blues, gospel, and soul music, it also incorporates soul, funk, and traditional pop. All of these traits separates its own music style to those of other music genres. For instance, R&B influenced British artists, such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, and other famous artists.


Traditional Korean music consists of folk and court music styles. Korean folk music is complex and very unique which separates from other types of music. Within the Korean folk music, there are three types of music: Pansori, Pungmul, and Sanjo. For court music, there are also three types of music, which are Aak, Dang-ak, and Hyang-ak. Different from the R&B music, the traditional Korean music has traditional instruments and different way of singing, such as singing one particular part for a really long time.
